파운데이션 특징

버밍엄 대학교 (University of Birmingham)는 영국 제 2의 도시인 버밍엄 Edgbaston에 위치한 공립 종합 대학교입니다. 1900년 영국 왕실 헌장을 받아 설립되었고, 붉은 벽돌 대학 중 최초로 왕실 헌장을 받았습니다. 설립 당시 지역 상공 업계에서 일할 고급 인력 양성을 목적으로 하였기 때문에 개교 초부터 과학과 공업 부문 교육에 중점을 두었으며, 이 전통은 현재까지도 이어지고 있습니다. 영국 최초의 공립대학이며 1901년 버밍엄의 풍부한 경제력을 기반으로 영국에서 최초로 상경 학부를 개설했습니다.

버밍엄 대학교는 영국 연구 대학들의 모임인 러셀 그룹 (Russell Group)과 국제 대학 연구 네트워크 (Universitas 21)의 창립 멤버일뿐 아니라2019년에 QS 세계 대학 순위에서 영국에서 14 위, 세계에서 79 위를 차지했습니다. 또한 2013년 버밍엄대학교는 타임즈지가 선정한 (Times Higher Education Awards) '2014년의 대학' 으로 선정 되기도 하며, 2017년 Global Employability University Ranking에서 버밍엄은 전세계 142 위, 영국 10 위를 차지하였고,  The Times와 The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018에서는 대학원 유망 후보로 영국에서 5위를 차지했습니다.

입학시기 및 입학 조건

* 학기/ 텀 : 3텀 또는 4텀 (영어 1텀 + 파운데이션 3텀) 과정을 운영,
* 시작 시기 : 1월, 9월, 8월(날짜 상이)

* 입학 요건 :

 - 만 17세 이상, 여권 사본, 영문 고교 졸업증명서 / 성적증명서,  이력서 (학업 이외의 공백이 있을 경우), UKVI IELTS(나중에 제출 가능)

 - 고교 내신 성적(4등급이상, 원점수 70%이상, 고1 수학 D, 고2마쳤을 경우, 2-3등급),
 - 고교 내신이 낮을 경우 수능 성적(Korean SAT) -3과목 5등급(수학 포함),
 - 검정고시성적(Korean GED, 70%, 수학 70)% 제출 가능

* 영어 성적(UKVI IELTS) :

 - 3텀 - UKVI IELTS 5.5

    공항에서 기숙사까지     

    - 학교 기숙사 까지는 버밍엄 공항에 내려서, 픽업 택시를 이용해서 가는 경우가 가장 흔합니다. 

    - 픽업 기사는 사람사랑 유학원에 요청하거나, 학교에 요청해서 배정 받을 수 있습니다. 

    - 또는 공항에서 기차를 이용하거나 버스를 이용해서 갈 수 있으며,
